When We Are Closed

In the event of an emergency arising between 18:00 and 08.45 or during the weekend please call NHS24 on 111. This service handles all out-of-hours emergency calls in Glasgow, and will give you appropriate advice.

Auchinairn Medical Practice participates in the Glasgow Emergency Medical Service Scheme (GEMS). NHS24 may advise you to attend a GEMS emergency centre, or can arrange a home visit, where necessary, for those who are housebound, very elderly, or seriously ill. In extremely serious cases NHS24 will advise that patients be transferred urgently to hospital, by calling an ambulance if necessary.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
